Celebration, Florida is a census-designated place and planned community located in Osceola County, Florida. Developed by The Walt Disney Company, Celebration was one of the first communities to incorporate principles of new urbanism into its master plan. Its name is derived from the word “celebrate” and its goal is an idealized small town with an emphasis on traditional values.
Since its founding in 1994, Celebration has become renowned as one of central Florida's most desirable places to live. Much like a typical small town, residents can enjoy pedestrian-friendly streets adorned with charming shops and restaurants and other modern amenities such as a public pool and fitness center. It also offers plenty of green space for outdoor activities like walking trails and playgrounds.
Celebration also boasts a thriving business district filled with quaint boutiques, salons, and galleries serving locals and tourists alike. The major employers in this area are Disney World Resort nearby and some medical offices associated with Florida Hospital Celebration Health, located within walking distance from downtown Celebration.
Thanks to its stunning landscape encompassing flora native to Central Florida, like moss-covered oak trees, winding creeks, and picturesque lakes, Celebration has become an increasingly popular tourist destination for travelers looking for a little bit of serenity away from larger cities in the state.
Overall, Celebration continues to be a neighborhood full of possibilities where locals can experience a true sense of community while enjoying all this beautiful area has to offer.
Although these schools are located in the City of Celebration, school zones are set by the school district. You can find Osceola county schools here.
