Pride Month in Orlando is a vibrant and inclusive celebration filled with events like drag shows, concerts, theme park festivities, thoughtful discussions, inclusive sports, and lively pool parties. Here’s a guide to the exciting events happening throughout June, as well as ways to honor the 49 lives lost at Pulse Nightclub in 2016.

Kickoff Events for Pride Month

RED Shirt Pride Day (June 1, 2024)

Wear red on the first weekend of June to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. This tradition dates back to the first “Gay and Lesbian Day” at Magic Kingdom® Park, where attendees wore red shirts to easily recognize each other. Join the KindRED Pride Foundation in celebrating diversity, equality, inclusion, and safe expression.

GayDays Orlando 2024 (May 30 – June 2, 2024)

GayDays is the premier LGBTQ+ vacation experience with foam parties, pageants, drag queen bingo, and sensational theme park events. The festivities are centered at DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld.

Girls in Wonderland® (May 30 – June 3, 2024)

This music and lifestyle festival for queer women features concerts, dance parties, pool parties, comedy shows, and more. It’s hosted at Springhill Suites by Marriott at Flamingo Crossings.

One Magical Weekend (May 30 – June 1, 2024)

One Magical Weekend is one of the largest LGBTQ+ pride and music festivals. It offers nonstop activities at Walt Disney World® Resort and Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort! This includes celebrations at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and House of Blues at Disney Springs®.

Arts and Culture

Considering Matthew Shepard (June 1 – 2, 2024)

Join Orlando Sings at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts for a compassionate musical response to Matthew Shepard’s life and legacy. This will feature music, poetry, and song.

Orlando Gay Chorus Performances (May 22 – June 9, 2024)

Catch the Orlando Gay Chorus in their spring concert, The Gay Agenda Revealed, and special performances at the Timucua Arts Foundation.

Art with Purpose at Orlando Museum of Art (June 7, 2024)

LGBTQ+ students, families, allies, and loved ones can explore queer stories and artists from the museum’s collection and participate in a reflective art journaling workshop led by an LGBTQ+ artist.

Orlando Out Fest at Fringe ArtSpace (June 27 – 30, 2024)

Orlando Fringe’s inaugural Orlando Out Fest showcases LGBTQ+ stories, artists, and history with a four-day festival of creativity and diversity.

Sports and Recreation During Pride Month

The Pride Cup (June 1 – 2, 2024)

Suit up for basketball, soccer, volleyball, pickleball, golf, kickball, adaptive sports, and cornhole in this annual LGBTQ+ sports competition organized by the KindRED Pride Foundation.

Pride in Our City: Orlando City & Orlando Pride Games (June 21 – 22, 2024)

Join the Pride in Our City soccer celebrations at Inter&Co Stadium. Watch the Orlando Pride take on Utah Royals FC and Orlando City SC face off against Chicago Fire FC, with special celebrations honoring the Pulse tragedy anniversary.

Sunset at the Zoo: LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration (June 28, 2024)

Enjoy a family-friendly LGBTQ+ Pride Celebration at Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens with themed crafts, family activities, local vendors, food trucks, and a DJ.

Honoring the Pulse Nightclub Victims

8th Annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run (June 8, 2024)

Participate in the 4.9K race in Orlando’s SODO District, honoring the 49 angels, their families, survivors, and first responders of the Pulse nightclub tragedy. Proceeds support the Orlando United Pulse Memorial.

Pulse Day of Remembrance: 49 Bells Ceremony (June 12, 2024)

Join the 49 Bells Ceremony at First United Methodist Church of Orlando at 4 p.m., part of One Orlando Alliance’s “Acts of Love and Kindness” initiative to inspire community support and kindness.

Pulse Day of Remembrance: Pulse Remembrance Ceremony (June 12, 2024)

Attend the Pulse Remembrance Ceremony at Steinmetz Hall, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. This free event honors those affected by the Pulse tragedy. Advance registration and tickets are required, with a livestream available via the Pulse Orlando website.
