Chuluota, Florida is a small town located in the suburbs of Seminole County, east of Orlando. It is a beautiful place with lush green foliage and quiet, winding roads lined with oak trees. The population of Chuluota is approximately 3,300 people as of 2019.
It was founded in 1865 by William Montgomery and his family and has remained an unincorporated community. The name "Chuluota" comes from the Seminole, meaning "Island Home," which makes perfect sense as majestic lakes and rivers surround this picturesque area.
As far as recreation goes, Chuluota has plenty to offer! There are two parks - Chuluota Wilderness Area and Lake Mills Park. Both provide residents the opportunity to get out into nature for some hiking, fishing, kayaking, or simply relaxing on a beach chair after a long week of work!
The community is very tight-knit; it's one of those places where everyone knows everyone else. Everyone looks out for one another in times of need and waves when driving by each other on the streets. In addition, there's always something going on at one of the churches or local organizations that help keep everyone connected!
Overall, Chuluota may be small, but it sure packs a punch when it comes to quality of life. From its breathtaking scenery to its strong sense of community, this suburb outside Orlando has everything you want or need!
