More About St. Cloud

The city was initially founded in 1909 as a retirement community by Jacob Summerlin, who owned over half of what is now Osceola County. The name "St. Cloud" was suggested by Summerlin's daughter after Saint-Cloud in France, which she had visited during her travels abroad. Over time, the city grew and diversified to become one of the fastest growing cities in Central Florida with numerous businesses and tourist attractions such as Fun Spot America Theme Parks and Kissimmee Go-Karts & Golf Courses providing additional entertainment options for locals and visitors alike.

In addition to tourist destinations, St. Cloud also has a thriving agricultural industry with numerous orange groves located within the city limits providing local produce for residents as well as being shipped throughout the country for sale elsewhere. Its unemployment rate is lower than the national average due to its diverse economy featuring many different types of businesses from retail stores to manufacturing plants that provide employment opportunities for local residents. The quality of life also remains high here thanks to excellent schools both public and private as well as health care services provided by several hospitals including Osceola Regional Medical Center and Nemours Children’s Hospital just outside the city limits in nearby Lake Nona Medical City Complex

Overall, St Cloud provides a unique combination of rural atmosphere along with urban amenities making it an ideal place to live or visit when visiting Central Florida! It truly is a great place to call home or explore while on vacation!
