Ocoee

Ocoee, Florida is a small city located in Orange County, just outside of Orlando. It's a popular spot for tourists who want to experience some of the sunshine state's iconic attractions while having all the amenities of a large city nearby.

The area was first settled back in 1840 and was originally known as Starke Lake. But it wasn't until 1887 that the town was officially called Ocoee. The name comes from Lake Ocoee, which is located within the city limits and has been used for recreational activities for over a century.

Today, the town has grown to encompass an estimated population of 36,000 people. Ocoee is known for its vibrant community and strong sense of pride in local heritage. Many residents take part in regular events such as the annual Turkey Trot 5k/10k run and biking events like Tour de Ocoee. There are also plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy such as fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, nature trails and more at nearby lakes and parks.
